Recently had some electrical work done. They disconnected my house power re-hooked it up. And now my perfectly functioning nest thermostat is totally malfunctioning. It's reading 15° above actual room temperature and I've tried everything resetting it, rebooting it, turning it off and on taking the batteries out. Nothing is repairing the temperature differential. It is registering way way above The actual room temperature. Any tips on resetting it? It was working totally fine for 8 months until they disconnected the power and hooked the power back up to the house.

Hi John-M,
I understand how frustrating it must be to have your Nest thermostat malfunctioning after the recent electrical work. It sounds like everything was working perfectly before the power was disconnected and reconnected. I see you've already tried resetting and rebooting the thermostat, which is a great first step. Let's see together what we can do to resolve the problem.
Can you be so kind as to change the batteries of the thermostat?
Can you please help me to measure the voltage in the wires? It should be 24V
Keep me posted!
Regards,
Ivan
