Heater won’t turn on after power outage

I have a Nest and we recently experienced a power outage. Now my heater won’t respond to the nest. I am still without wifi due to the outage. Anyone have any ideas?

I will work without wifi. Does it light up and respond to touching it etc or is the power off to the heating system?

Maybe a breaker tripped when power came back on?

Hi Heather99,

Thanks for reaching out — I saw your post and wanted to chime in.

Let's sort this out:

  • What type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
  • Is your thermostat display not turning on?
  • Make sure that the power from your HVAC system at the breaker is turned on.
  • Check for the emergency switch it is usually beside your system. When the power cuts off, it switches to off automatically.

I'm looking forward to your response.

Thanks @Houptee, for your help.

Best,

Jenelyn
