Heating before cooling

Franramirez
Community Member

Hello. I just moved in to a new apartment and the last tenants had a nest thermostat E installed. It is set to cool, but every time it goes on it blows hot air for about 15 minutes and then starts cooling. I live in Miami so when it starts heating it gets way too hot and also it doesn’t make since to heat and then start cooling.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

thank you

HI Franramirez,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

If you have a heat-pump HVAC system, you could try to change the OB wire settings. This way, the valve will be corrected and it will blow cold air when it is in cooling mode.

Let me know how it goes by replying to this thread.

Best regards,

Ryan
