Heating stops after hot water activated. Help please!

I have had this thermostat for over 3 years now and never had an issue.

A few months ago I noticed an issue where when the hot water heating function is activated and when it finishes its duration and you go to turn the general heating on, the nest goes orange but the heating doesn’t actually come on.

If you manually activate the override and then restart the nest it will then fire on with no issues until you turn the hot water back on.

 Really strange, any help please

Hi there and thanks for reaching our Community. I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but I'm here to help you out. Let's gather some information first: 

1. What type of boiler do you have? System or combi? 

2. When did the issue start? 

Let's also perform a click test. Open your Nest App and go near the Heat Link. Once you're there, activate the heating from the app and listen for a click in the Heat Link, wait a minute or two, then deactivate the heating and listen for the second click. Let me know how many clicks you heard.
