Heatlink 3rd Gen issue

SRJCarter

Hi, my two heatlinks (each paired with a  separate thermostat) have worked well for a few years. Today the thermostat schedule for one of the thermostats did not work. The other works fine.

The non working thermostat is not instructing the boiler. It is connected to the heatlink. The thermostat says 'heating' and there is no error code. According to the timing schedule it should be on. The heatlink has one continuous green light on it indicating that it is working and connected to the thermostat. The boilers do not fire.

When I twist the thermostat to set a higher heat than the ambient temp (to fire the boiler) I DO hear a click from the heatlink. I can press the manual button on the heatlink to force it to switch on the heating and the water. This works and the boilers fire up.

I

Help please ?

Thanks

I had the same problem this AM. Schedule says to raise the temp to 72 at 7:00 am. Got up at 8, the orange light was on, but no heat. I set it to heat-cool, and then back to heat, and it turned on. It was really cold last night, 12 degrees outside and set to 64 inside. I'm wondering if this is a software issue, since you had it also.

Thanks Jslaff. I'm in the UK so do not have the cooling function (the weather - summer or winter does that just fine) !! I think you may well be right and it is a software issue although a complete reboot has not solved it. I think I will have to change the heatlink for a new one as a next step. Cheers

Hey @SRJCarter,

I'm sorry to hear about your issue, but I'll do my best to help you fix it. Please let me know if calling for heat from the Nest app makes any difference. Also, do you also use the thermostat to control the hot water? If so, does that work as expected?

Hello. It just seemed to happen one day. After a few days, I restarted the thermostat. All is well now. (And no, I don't use it for hot water.)

Hey @jslaff,

I'm happy to hear that it works now. Hopefully it was just an isolated incident. However, if you need anything else, now or in the future, let us know.
