I've received an email stating that my heatlink unit needs replacing, the email says this will be done free of charge by BOXT, is this genuine or a scam.

BOXT is the correct provider that handles these on behalf of Google. If you're unsure, I would recommend contacting tthe Google Nest support team directly.

  1. Go to Contact Us - Google Nest Help
  2. Select an appropriate product or category, type a brief description of the issue, then click Next.
  3. Click Other, then click Next step.
  4. In the Resources section, click Next step.
  5. Choose to get a phone call, call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.

Thanks for reaching out to us here @David_K . I would be happy to try and assist.

As @David_K mentioned, emails like that are real but you can reach out to our support if you are unsure.

What I would recomend though is that you first check your Heat Link as that email can be sent if there was a temporary disconnection or power fluctuation and everything may be ok, and not need any replacement.

If the Heat Link is indeed no longer working you can use the email, let me know here or reach out to our support on any of our channels.

Hi there, just checking in with you. Did you manage to check my colleague's last message?
