I tried the compatibility check 3 times once on my phone thru the Nest set up app. Before install it asks you to select wire and it said Mine was compatible. After I started install it asked again to select wires I did and then it said it was not compatible. I connected support they said I could upgrade to a more expensive Nest they didn't answer my question about the difference in wires and why app giving conflicting information. So I went online thru Nest site and did compatibility check 2 it said Yes. So I need help in determining if it actually is or not. The only way the nest I got and and my thermostat is nest has R and O/B while mine has Rc and Rh jumper How is this compatible?

Hi Ncec,

We're so sorry to hear about your negative experience figuring out if Nest is right for your home. Understanding the HVAC wires are definitely confusing and frustrating! I'm happy to look into whether your system is compatible.

It looks like while you have a dual-transformer system (which can be worked around with the aid of a Nest Pro, as these are tricky to install), the B and C port/wires are proprietary, and would've been installed by the original HVAC manufacturer. Sadly, this makes it likely incompatible with other thermostats, Nest included. However, as I may not know the crucial details of your HVAC system, here is our guide on how to identify your wires.

Again, apologies for receiving so much conflicting information. Let us know how the setup process goes and we'll try to help as much as we can.
