Help with Nest Thermostat E Wiring

br3tt22

My Heating and cooling system used the following wires G, Y, W, RH. There is also a jumper from RH to RC. I have the themostat wired using connections to Y1, G, R and W1. The RH (red) wire is connected to the R connection. There is a blue wire, but it was not connected to the previous themostat. The Nest does not power on when the break is turned back on.

G connected to G, Y connected to Y1, W connected to W1 and RH connected to R.

Is my wiring correct?

Thanks!

Hi br3tt22,

Thank you for posting. I really appreciate the details.

Here you can check out this good article on how to identify the wires for your thermostat.

For your concern, it is probably that the C wire (the blue one) is missing, so you should connect it to get power to the thermostat.

Let me know if you need more assistance.

Regards,

Byron
