I am trying to hook up nest thermostat to my heat pump. The system works fine with current non nest thermostat. When nest installed the fan will not run the fan. Can anyone help? Spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support and they replaced my nest with a new unit and no difference.
Have display model 3.6 and backplate model is 5.4.

Just want to ensure you understand that we were trying to install on a heat pump. Google says the learning nest is not compatable.

Jake, thank you for your info. We are gunshy since we are confident that the Google nest did not cost us $300.00 in repairs to our furnace already so we will probably not hook up the Nest.

Jake can you speak directly to our concerns in original question? Cannot attach pictures pr I would. When nets hooked up there is no fan operation. Burned out fan control module trying to get working, do not want to have to pay another $300 if nest kills the fan control module again.

Hey Flagtime,
Sorry again for the late reply. Do you mind me asking if you are trying to control the fan while the device is either in cool/heat? You can only run the fan when your thermostat is set to a temperature mode, however you cannot run the fan if your thermostat is set to Off. I found an article with more details on fan control. Please let me know if that helps out, or if you have any questions from here.
Best regards,
Jake
