Would appreciate help with checking the compatibility of my wiring to work with the Nest Learning Thermostat.

Welcome to the Google Nest Community. I'd be happy to take a look at this for you.

I appreciate you sharing your thermostat setup. I'll do my best to guide you through the wiring process. Additionally, please tell us your HVAC system's make and mode to ensure a smooth transition. Also, what type of system do you have? (conventional system, heat pump, etc.)

This will be your wiring guide for the Nest Thermostat.

 

  • Red wire > Rc terminal (power)
  • White wire > *star terminal (emergency heat)
  • Yellow wire > W/W1 terminal (heating)
  • Orange wire > O/B terminal (heat pump)
  • Green wire > G terminal (fan)
  • Blue wire > C terminal (24 V common)
