Regardless of whether or not we’re home, our Nest thermostat heats our home to 28°C in the peak of summer. We have tried clearing automations, routines, and following a wide variety of instructions, none of which seem to work. For example, these instructions do NOT work because we don’t have the Home or Away options under Household routines.
Our husky, two cats, and two humans are roasting to death and I am so tired of feeling like a baked potato in our own home. It’s insane to me that this is an automatically enabled feature that is next to impossible to disable and that causes so many users frustration and immense discomfort. I’ve just manually adjusted the temperature back down for the umpteenth time and am at my wit’s end. Please help!

If you don't have a Nest Renew subscription or are not enrolled in the Rush Hour Rewards program, you can try resetting your schedule.
You can adjust the eco temperature from the Google Home app or the Nest app, depending on the thermostat model you have. Here are the steps:
