I recently moved. I transferred my Google Nest thermostat to my new home. I forgot to take a picture of the wiring in my previous thermostat. I installed the Google Nest thermostat in March. Now that it is Summer I don't feel like the system is cooling down the house. How do I know if I have installed it correctly. I am attaching a picture of my thermostat wires

Thank you for reaching out to us, and congrats on the move! We're happy you decided to take your Nest Thermostat with you. Let's see what's going on with your wires.

Here is what I can decode from your thermostat wires:
- The R wire is the power wire for your heating and cooling system. If you only have one R wire (no Rh or Rc), you can connect your R wire to either Rc or Rh on the Nest thermostat.
- The Y/Y1 wire controls your cooling system; the G wire controls your fan.
- The W/W1 wire controls your heating system.
- You do not have a C-wire. It's possible that your device might not be receiving enough of a consistent charge and requires a Power Connector or C-wire in order for your HVAC system and thermostat to work in tandem.

However, since we don't know the nitty-gritty about your particular HVAC setup, we'd suggest a Nest Pro come and take a look at your system.

Please let us know if we can assist further. We're here to help!

Hi SBBSLT1,

Thanks for reaching out and we're sorry for the delay.

You could take a look at the main board of your HVAC and take a photo of the wiring configurations. Once done, we'll be able to know how it will be connected to the Google Nest thermostat.

I hope to hear from you very soon.

Best regards,

Ryan
