We no longer have access to the email account we used when we installed our Google Nest thermostat. Now we are having a few issues and want to change the email address. Is there a simple fix to this? Do we have to do a complete reset on the thermostat and start over? Thanks!

Hi aaahtequila,
Thanks for reaching out — I'd love to help. For security purposes, Nest Thermostats are made to be added in one account only. For Nest Thermostat 2020 you have to set it to factory default for you to add it to your account. If you have a Nest Learning Thermostat, or a Nest Thermostat E, I would suggest doing an account connection reset.
