Hello Twinotter,

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community. To know more about this issue, I'd like to confirm, which Nest Thermostat do you have? Where are you located? Do you mean you wanted to know if the 1.4 is the current version for your Nest Thermostat?

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,

Emerson

I have the basic "Nest Thermostat." I'd like to know when the thermostat last communicated so I can tell how recent the temperature readings are (and if there are problems with the thermostat or power supply itself).

Hi Twinotter,

Thanks for getting back to us. To check your temperature readings, you may see your energy history with the Google Home app.

Give these steps a try:

  1. Open the Home app Google Home app.
  2. Tap your device's tile.
  3. Tap Energy dashboard Energy dashboard.
  4. Select Day, Week or Month.

To learn more, you may visit our public article about “Thermostat Energy History”.

Best,

Emerson
