How to compare usage with same month last year?

Diamondillium

Hello and Hi, I've had a nest for years and get the monthly email letting me know how much better I was at not running the furnace compared to last month. Unfortunately, this information isn't very useful since the month before may have been a very icy time of year, or a very hot summer month.

How can I review the same logs from last year, or the year before, to see if February over February, I am now using more or less furnace/air conditioning?

This was previously posted, ignored for 60 days and auto closed since no activity. trying again.

I’m still watching to learn if there’s an option without converting my current Nest account to the Google Nest account.

Hi Diamondillium,

Thanks for the reply.

To manage your device more efficiently, you could migrate your Nest account to Google. Check out this link to learn more before doing so.

Ryan

So, no way to do it without migrating to Google, huh?

Hi Diamondillium,

Thank you for your reply.

We recommend migrating from Nest to Google. If you migrate your Nest Account to a Google Account, your experience of your Nest home and products will change. Migration is optional, and once completed, is not reversible, so it’s important to understand the changes that migration will bring before you start.

Hi Diamondillium,

Thanks for the reply.

There are features that are not available when staying in a Nest account. This is also to make it easier for users to manage your devices under one Google account.

Ryan

Hey Diamondillium,

Sorry for the delayed reply. I did look further into your question, and wanted to follow up with you. Currently, there is no option to review a full years worth of usage. I know this is not the most ideal answer. I would recommend submitting feedback by following the article here.  We are always looking to improve our products.

Best regards,

Jake

To be clear, migrating the account to Google will allow a 2-week lookback, this is not a solution to my question about reviewing year over year, comparing this April to last April, etc.

If there is a solution for that, please advise.
