If you have not already tried, you can turn off Eco Mode immediately by following these steps:
- On your thermostat, tap the side, swipe to "Mode," then choose "Stop Eco" or another mode like "Heat" or "Cool."
- In the Google Home app, tap your thermostat's tile, then tap the mode icon (often a leaf) and select your desired mode.
Auto-Eco often activates due to Home/Away Routines. If it's turning back on automatically, please provide the following information. Gathering these details will help me to fully partner and provide a lasting outcome.
- What does the thermostat display show when it goes into Eco mode (e.g., "Eco," leaf icon)?
- Are Home & Away Routines enabled in your Google Home app (Automations > Household > Home & Away)?
- Does the app accurately show you as "Home" or "Away" when Auto-Eco activates?
- Do you use other Nest products (Cams, Protects) for presence sensing?
- Have you recently changed your phone's location settings or Google Home app permissions?
