How to get Nest thermostat replaced under the 1 year warranty?

HI,

I have Nest thermostat E which was purchased new in February this year. It is no longer working and we have tried all the recommended trouble shooting. It is very difficult to find out how to file a claim and get a replacement since it is still within the one year warranty. Anyone know how to do this?

A few questions — what specific Nest thermostat is this? When you said it is not working, what seems to be going on? Also, could you provide a rundown of the steps you've tried just to cover all the bases?

thermostat E as stated in my post. Not sure what more there is about the specific thermostat besides its an E.

It worked fine for 4 months. Then it had a red blinking light. We took it off the wall and charged it fully manually. It was charging on the wall fine for the first 4 months. Then after we put it back on it would not connect to wireless. We tried all the trouble shooting and did a reset. Now it has a blank display and no light blinking or anything.
