How to install wiring for nest learning thermostat?

Hi, my house has a Bryant FX4DNF049 AC unit with 8 wires. I’m hoping to see if anyone knows where each wire goes. Page 16 of the link below has some complicated wiring instructions I don’t understand. Thank you in advance!!!

Your AC and heat combined don't use that many wires. It's usually two or three for AC and two or three for heat. They usually just run the whole cable from end to end and then just use the wires they need and don't use the others. I looked at your wiring diagram but it just lists all possible wiring schemes. To be sure you need to go to your AC system and look for the wires being fed into it to see what's actually being used. It should look similar to the cable being fed into your thermostat. The colors should match on the other end. Just note what colors are being used, and connect those colors in your thermostat, exclude the others.

Thank you! I didn't know the wires set was just a generic one and I actually have to see which of the colored cables were actually connected to my heater.

Hello folks,

Thanks for your help, @kittermant

@ashleychen8, once you get to access your furnace control board, please send us a photo of your thermostat wires connected to it so we can better determine the configuration of your thermostat wires to the Nest Learning Thermostat.

Best,

Zoe
