How to remove events from schedule permanently

Hi all.     I had a Nest Learning Thermostat installed professionally yesterday & am really struggling with the app.    

I misunderstood initially how to set timed events and now need to start again.    

But every time I remove a timed temperature change it then reappears in the weekly schedule.

How do you delete events permanently?

Further to this, I have deleted and reinstalled the app but the timer events I set wrongly just reappear again.    Is it really the case that the app will not allow you to correct an initial mistake?

I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble removing all the temperature schedules being created. Help's here—I'd be happy to shed some light on the situation here!

Here are the two ways to remove the schedules:

With the Nest app:

1. Open the Nest app.
2. Go to the home screen and select the thermostat.
3. Select Schedule.
4. Tap the day of the week that has the temperature to be removed.
5. Tap Remove.
6. Tap the setpoint to be removed from the schedule.

On the thermostat device itself.

1. Navigate it to the settings.
2. Go to the Reset at the very end option.
3. Tap on it and turn the ring to the Schedule.
4. Click Schedule and select Reset or Clear All.
5. Tap to confirm.
