I have inherited the Nest having moved into a new house. Its an old cold house that will never reach a particularly high temperature.
I need to be able to set a schedule where it turns on at 6.30am and turns off at 8am each day, no matter what the temperature is or what temperature it has reached.
I have tried lots of different ways to do this and having no luck. Can you help

So you just want the heat to run continuously for 1 and 1/2 hours?

Yes like a normal thermostat does and then turn off at a set time

a “normal” thermostat does not work the way you are describing. First you set the system mode: Heat or Cool. Next you set the desired room temperature you wish to maintain.
If you want HEAT, and you set the temperature set point as 75. If the room temperature is below 75, the thermostat will call for heat. And once the temperature reaches 75 it cancels the call for heat.

I believe you can just do this. Turn off smart scheduling and then set a high temperature of like 80 at 6:30 and a low temperature of like 64 at 8:30am. https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9209007?hl=en
