How to set Nest Thermostat correctly

I inherited a Nest thermostat of sort.  I just want 67-71 every single day.

I tried Eco and all it did was make my house colder each day and I come home to 61.  

Every time I turn around it is 75 in the home. 

I have no idea how to prevent this. I just want it consistent 67-71. Please help!

Thanks for posting here in the community! I'm sorry to hear your temperature is no longer consistent in the range you want. Help's here!

To better assist you, I'd like to ask a couple of questions:

• What type of Nest thermostat do you have?
• Did you change the Eco Mode temperature range?

In the meantime, you can try two things:

• Remove the Home/Away feature, which might interfere with Eco Mode temperatures. You can find instructions in this article: Change Home & Away Routines Settings. 
• Check the Eco Mode temperature range. Depending on your specific Nest thermostat model, you can find instructions in this article: How to change which temperature Eco heats or cools to.
