I have been using the Google Nest Learning thermostat (3rd generation) downstairs for years and I decided to install a Google Nest thermostat upstairs cause I am tired of walking up and down just to adjust the thermostat.
It tells me the system is not compatible which I am not quite sure this is accurate. My system is entirely electric, no gas, with a heat pump.
I tried to attach a file but the button just blinks at me so I cannot upload a picture so now I have to explain it.
White wire to E
Black wire to Aux
Yellow wire to Y
Green wire to G
Orange wire to O
Red wire to R
Blue wire to C (with a note that says C is optional with batteries)
Keep in mind this is the upstairs thermostat and I am successfully using a Google Nest Learning thermostat downstairs.
