How to turn off system by google nest thermostate

If i have pckage unit located on roof of a house, does google nest control shut down the package unit?

Could you tell us more about the unit you're referring to on your roof? The Nest Thermostat controls the HVAC unit on your home. It is compatible with most 24V HVAC systems.

Also, let us know what kind of HVAC system you're using so that we could further provide information on how you can set up your own thermostat.
