Does the nest actually measure humidity? It has a humidity sensor?

Yes, Nest Thermostats have a built-in humidity sensor so they can detect ambient humidity for comfort optimization and control of whole-home humidifiers.

Hi Barry4208,
Thanks for posting here in the community forum. I just want to ask, what type of Nest thermostat do you have? And, in addition to what davidking has shared, the built-in sensors in Nest Thermostats has a passive infrared (PIR) sensor Fresnel lens that allows the sensors to function correctly. Also, Google Nest offers Nest Temperature Sensors compatible with the Nest Learning Thermostat and Nest Thermostat E that you can pair and let you choose where your thermostat measures the temperature in your home to help keep you comfortable.
Please let me know if you have any questions from here. I would be happy to assist and make sure you are good to go.
Thanks for your help, @David_K.
Best,
Zoe
