I have a green fan wire but still can't control the fan manually.

It is wired as shown but I still have to go into heat or cool mode to run the fan.

Thanks for reaching out. To control the fan independently, we would need to put the Nest Thermostat to either heat or cool mode. I understand that having an option to select a fan mode would be easier. Our team is always looking for ways to improve and we'll take it as feedback.
