I'm moving into a home that previously had a Nest thermostat. What do I need to get up and running?

I've just moved into a home that previously had a Nest thermostat. All of the equipment is still installed. Can it be transferred over to my control? If not, what do I need to do to get up and running ?

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for reaching out. Basically all you need to do is check if the Thermostat is powered on, and if the Heat Link has at least one LED on it, preferably green (meaning it's connected). The Heat Link will be the white square box near the boiler. Also, if you want to control the Thermostat remotely, you can create a Nest App account and add it in there and control it from your phone.
Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with.

This doesn’t work for me because it’s asking me for the entry key. When I follow the prompts to get the entry key it says the device is already associated with another account and I got a dead end. Help?
