Try looking in Settings - Equipment - Pro setup. See if that helps

Hi folks,
@Vitovent, thanks for reaching out to us. Are you located from North America or Europe? What type of Nest Thermostat do you have? You may follow the steps in this guide on how to change your type of heating equipment.
I appreciate your input, @Frustratedddd.
Best,
Zoe

its the smart thermostat, not the learning one. yall just sent it to me, as a replacement for one that was giving me error codes - but still working
AC - cooling - works great -
but as winter apporaches - ill need heat - which i believe also works - strangely enough. (it did last year, and i havent changed any wiring)
ill attached 2 screen shots - someone asked me for them, but i cant find the email -
I use a hotmail email account mainly, so sorry for the delay in returning these emails from my gmail account...

I don't have "pro setup " under equipment

Hi Vitovent,
The Pro Setup option is only for an advanced setting to enable you to set up complex systems, including dual-fuel humidifiers and dehumidifiers. To correct your heating type on your Nest thermostat, I recommend following the steps that I shared above.
Keep us posted.
Thanks,
Zoe

Hi there,
Yikes! In this case, I recommend you factory reset your Nest thermostat by going to Settings > Factory Reset, then remove the thermostat from the Google Home app. After that, re-add the thermostat to the app, and then make sure to select 'Gas' as your heating type once you are asked to select the type of heating system installed.
Let us know how it goes.

Zoe
