Installing new GEN three nest learning thermostat

I get the serial number then the key code then when I pick next on my phone, it selects the icon for nest assistant instead of Nest Learning Thermostat. The Nest app won’t allow me to pick the nest learning thermostat. I ran into this before and had to quickly tap on the nest learning thermostat icon until it picked up. But I cannot get it to work this time.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to help.

Is this a first-time installation and set-up? If so, make sure that you're adding it to the Nest app. You can also try scanning the QR code, so it'll automatically detect it and continue the prompt in the app.

If the same issue persists, try restarting your thermostat by pressing and holding its screen for 10 seconds until it shuts down to refresh, then waiting until it reboots.
