Installing new thermostat gen 4

I have taken the old Nest thermostat out and I have installed the new gen 4 nest. I a not able to get the new nest in the Google home app. When I try to go to the WiFi it doesn’t give a gen 4 option to connect to the WiFi.

To confirm, you're following these steps using the latest version of the Google Home app?

1. In the Google Home app, tap Devices then + Add.
2. Tap Google Nest or partner device.
3. Select your home then tap Next.
4. If the app doesn't find your device, scroll down and tap Thermostat.
5. Tap Nest Learning Thermostat (4th gen).
6. Follow the remaining steps in the app.
