I moved my working thermostat to a different apartment with very old wiring and many more windows. I don't know if I used to have a C-wire but I know I don't currently. The battery was draining so I got a Nest Power Connector. It isn't any better after wiring up to the very new air conditioner.
After a hot afternoon, battery is nearing 3.70v and connectivity is lost, as predicted. This morning, A/C idle, Voc is around 30v, Vin at 28, lin at 40mA. Running, Vin drops to 7.4v, lin to 20mA.
How do I test that my Power Connector even worked? What pins to what pins, and the expected voltage? After seeing how easily the system is wired, I may just buy some 18/5 and fish the wire for the 10 or so feet it needs to rewire this mess and hope that solves my issue. I would like to know if I was sold a defective Power Connector though.

Hello Mocha4418,
Thanks for reaching out. I understand that the installation of the Nest Power Connector can be confusing, but I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.
Could you please share with us a photo of your Nest Thermostat's wiring and how you installed your Nest Power Connector? This would help us identify the wiring configuration.
I'll look forward to your response.
Regards,
Mark
