Is the Thermostat E still supported and getting updates

Hi, I'm reading the it has been discontinued in the US but I can still buy it in the UK from independents but it is out of stock in Google store making me suspicious it's about to be discountinued? If it is still going to be supported for years to come then I'll go ahead with the purchase but can't find any info, online chat is useless and just said "not yet"

The Nest Thermostat E has not been discontinued in the US/Canada region. It is only available through a Nest Pro now.

I don't know if it has been discontinued in the UK/Europe region.

They are not interchangeable though.
