Hi all,
Please help me understand if the Daikin heat pump in have is compatible with Nest learning thermostat. I tried wiring the nest thermostat and I got it complaining that a pro installation is needed.
I have attach unit model number and the wire configuration on the unit and the thermostat that came with unit as well the way I connected it to at the end.
If I am doing something wrong please help me fix or if pro installation is needed please share a good technician in Vancouver Canada

First, you have a conventional (heat/cool) system, not a heat pump, and by what I can tell it is wired correctly.
Go to the Equipment Detected screen and see what the thermostat has detected. Post a picture here.
Follow the instructions here to find the equipment screen.

Hi Patrick thanks for the reply.
I have fixed it apparently I had to expose more of the copper for proper contact with nest back plate.
Thanks,
