Location Name on Monthly Reports

Hello, I have two learning thermostats, labeled "Master Bedroom" and "Guest Hallway" in the app.  When I get the monthly report from Nest, the thermostats are listed as "Master Bedroom" and "Nest Learning Thermostat" (generic).  

I have a similar issue with several of my Nest Protects

Where do I update the location in the app to make it appear correctly on the report?

Thanks for reaching out to us. You can use the instructions below to update the location names for your Nest Protects and thermostats in the Nest app. You should be able to make sure that they show up accurately in Nest's monthly report by making the necessary changes to the names or locations in the device settings.

1. Open the Nest app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on the thermostat or Nest Protect you want to update.
3. On the device screen, look for the settings icon (usually represented by a gear or cogwheel) and tap on it. This will take you to the device settings.
4. In the device settings, you should see an option to edit the device name or location. Tap on this option.
5. Enter the desired name or location for the device and save the changes.

Try this alternate way as well if you can't find the exact setting in the device settings to change the names or locations.These steps should allow you to change the location names of your Nest Protects and thermostats so that they show up accurately in Nest's monthly report.

1. Open the Nest app on your mobile device.
2. Tap on the "Settings" icon located in the bottom right corner of the app.
3. From the settings menu, select "Home Info" or a similar option that allows you to manage your home devices and settings.
4. Look for a section that lists your thermostats and Nest Protects. Tap on the device you want to update.
5. In the device settings, you should find an option to edit the name or location. Make the necessary changes and save the updates.
