Looking to paint wall that my nest is on. Do I have to do anything before removing from the base?

Is it ok to just remove front of thermostat without powering off? I’m painting wall and don’t want to get nest dirty.

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, you can remove the display of your Nest Thermostat without turning it off. The Nest Thermostat would boot up normally once you put it back in.
