We use a nest thermostat to control the heating in a small squash club, unfortunately we cant create a schedule with a temperature of less than 9 degrees Celsius, this means the heating is running unnecessarily during the colder months, is there any logical reason for this? Thanks in advance.

Hello KeyheadSquash,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum.
We are aware that the Nest Thermostat temperature ranges have long wished for this feature. By default, the heating safety temperature is enabled to keep your house from freezing. To make adjustments if necessary, try checking the device's or the app's Safety Temperature settings. Here is the article on Thermostat Safety Temperature; if you have any additional queries, please let me know.

Mark

Thanks for getting back to me, I'm aware of the safety temperature but that makes no difference, it's the minimum scheduled temperature that can't be adjusted below 9 degrees Celsius.

Hey there,
Got it. Try checking the Safety Temperature, as it might be set to 9 degrees Celsius, and then adjust it to the lowest temperature.
Thanks,
Mark

Hi KeyheadSquash,
I don't want to be a nudge, but I'm checking back in — how's it going? Still need our help?
Thanks,
Mark
