Move a device to a new home in the app (same physical location)

Hello,

I am trying to share a thermostat with renters, but can't seem to share just the one device in a home with them. I tried to move the thermostat to a "new" home in the Nest and Google Home app remotely, but can't see to figure that out. Can you provide direction?

I completely understand your situation. Unfortunately,  to move the device from a new home and share the control with another person, it is necessary to set up the thermostat again and redirect to the corresponding place.
