All the answers to this question don't seem to work in my case. Has anyone/Google actually got a solution to this?

pbw,
what answers are you specifically talking about concerning a boiler and making it turn off. I noticed that this account was just created and this is your very first post. So what answers did you receive? And where did you receive them? Where are you located USA or Europe.

This is an issue I am having in my new build as well. I will say however I have not hooked up to Wifi and hope it just needs a software update but-
I power up my thermostat, set a temperature, once reaching temperature the baseboard hot water continues to run. Final cleaning crew walked into the house and it was 95 degrees.
Two zone, both thermostats have c wires connected. Again, baseboard hot water and on demand water heater.
Thoughts? I have simply removed the thermostats for now.

Before you condemn the problem as being related to the thermostat, you need to get a Volt Ohm Meter and make some testing at the other end of the thermostat cable wire at the boiler. What you want to see is if the thermostat has terminated the signaling power on the W wire, why then is the boiler staying on. That would have to do with the boilers control system and not the thermostat. If however, the thermostat is indeed continuing to send power on the W wire then there is a thermostat issue that needs to be evaluated.

Where are you located? US/Canada or UK Europe?
Does your system have a valve zone controller installed (Taco?) or just zone valves?
Can you post some pictures of how the thermostat, controller, or valves are wired?
