My Nest Thermostats Went Offliine after change my DNS from router

Hi Community, I'm a new user of Nest Thermostats, I started using it a couple of weeks ago. Google Home app is showing the status is offline. I changed my Netgear router's DNS for both ipv4 and ipv6. The DNS setting was auto I made it manual. I am using AdGuard and I change my DNS to AdGuard's address. It only goes offline when I change ipv6. It works fine if I just change the ipv4 address. I restarted my router but it's still showing offline. How can fix it?

Thank you for your help.

Hello libTech,

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your inquiry. I'd love to help.

Interference can be hard to identify and resolve since it’s dependent on the environment. We can do as much as possible to help identify and resolve Interference issues, but ultimately, this may be something about your router settings. Changing its settings could cause it to disconnect. It might show connected on your actual thermostat but merely connected by your Wi-Fi network name and not on its connection. Removing it from the Google Home app and performing a factory data reset would help your thermostat to reconnect back again.

Please let me know if that helps.

Regards,

Mark
