My nest states that it needs a 4 digit code, I can not get past this please help

you should get that code from the Nest app when you’re setting up.

Thank you!!! I am trying to set it up but the owners before me had it so I have no way of getting the number and I’m cold its56 degrees right now

@JessewithaJ and Rainy1, I've posted the steps below on how to get the 4-digit entry key in order to set up your Nest thermostats:

1. Press your thermostat’s ring to open the Quick View menu.
2. Choose Settings Nest settings icon.
3. Turn the ring to Nest app and press the ring to select it.
4. Select Get Entry Key to retrieve a unique entry key.
