My nest thermostat keeps calling for heat even when thermostat is off and it is only connected to AC

I have a Nest thermostat in a PT summer residence. The home is closed/shut down for the winter. My Nest Learning thermostat only controls the AC and is set to off and the ECO leaf is on according to my app.

The temperature in the home is below 40 degrees F and thermostat is in SAFETY mode and constantly calling for heat, or so I think. The app page is orange and I can't get the thermostat to completely turn off, like other nest learning thermostats in the home.

Is there a way to reset the thermostat remotely?

Thanks for reaching out. I'd love to know more about this. Could you share a photo of your current thermostat's wiring and HVAC's system control board? What is your HVAC's make and model?
