My nest thermostat keeps saying "Please remove the thermostat from the base, then reattach it"

We installed the Nest thermostat by A/C company 3 years ago so we have no idea about its information such as model and lot number. This thermostat keeps saying "Please remove the thermostat from the base, then reattach it" However it still saying same message after reattaching.

Please advise how to solve this issue.

Thanks for bringing this up here in the Google Nest community. Let's check this out. Make sure all wires are properly seated on the Nest Thermostat base. You’ll see the copper wire in the hole of each terminal, and the button stays pushed. Also, if I may ask, what type of Nest Thermostat do you have?
