Same issue here. My Nest has been working fine for years, but today the heat is acting up. Shows, heating, but nothing is coming on. It will come on temporarily if I mess with the "Safety Temperature" to trigger the heat to come on. But it will eventually turn off again.

I cant stand this. I am freezing.  I think I am going to complain to ADT and ask to get rid of the google nest thermostat and switch it back to my old one.

Hello folks,

I'm sorry for the late response. We understand the urgency and frustration you're experiencing with your Nest Thermostats not heating your home properly. This issue can be caused by various factors, and we're here to help you troubleshoot and find a solution.

  1. Ensure that your Nest Thermostats are receiving power. Verify the wiring and make sure it is securely connected. Also, check if your thermostat is connected to Wi-Fi. Sometimes, connectivity issues can impact the thermostat's performance.
  2. Ensure that there are no obstructions around the thermostat that might be affecting its sensors. Blocked sensors can lead to inaccurate temperature readings and heating issues.
  3. Try performing a reset on your thermostat. This can be done through the settings menu on the device or the Nest app. A reset can often resolve temporary glitches.
  4. Switch to Cooling mode, if available, and see if the AC is working properly.
  5. Inspect for any power-related issues in the Equipment settings or in the Technical Info settings.
  6. If all else fails, consider having a professional HVAC technician inspect your heating system. There might be an underlying issue with your HVAC system that needs attention.

Let us know how it goes.

Best regards,
Mark
