Hello, I'm not sure if this is the the right forum. I'm trying to add the NEST Learning Thermostat 3rd gen to SmartThings App and it keeps sending me to Google Servers. Do I need to migrate my NEST account to Google in order to use SmartThings App or Google Home?

Hello avig2024,
Thanks for reaching out to the Google Nest Community Forum. I understand you're having trouble pairing your Nest Learning Thermostat with the Smart Things app. Don't worry, I can help.
First, set up your Nest Learning Thermostat on the Nest app. Check out this article, Add your Nest thermostat to the Nest app, for instructions. Then migrate your Nest account to a Google account. Use this article for reference: FAQs about accounts for the Nest app Once, it's paired there, try adding it to the Smart Things app using the same account.
If you still can't set it up in the Smart Things app, contact their community for more information.
Feel free to post here if you need further assistance.
Best regards,
Daniel

Hey avig2024,
Thank you so much for replying to this post. I'm here to assist you with more tips.
Try setting up the Nest Learning Thermostat solely through the Nest app. Once complete, attempt to pair the device with SmartThings without migrating your account. If pairing fails, you may need to migrate your account.
Let me know how it goes.
Regards,
Daniel
