This evening I noticed the heating unit in the attic was kicking on and off. I went to the Nest app and I found a “no power to rh” error code. Within 3 seconds the code goes away and the unit kicks back on and works as it should. Monitoring the issue for about an hour I notice it doing the exact same thing over and over. It’s only so it when the unit is running. I can not find it losing power during the down time of the unit. The thermostat has been installed for a year and had gone through a winter before with no issues. My unit in the attic is not a high efficiency and does have a safety switch on the pan drain. I lifted that out of the drain and made sure it was moving freely. I pulled the face plate of the nest off of the wall and checked the connection and everything seems fine. What research I can find is other people have had the same issue but somehow can not resolve the issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey Trpbeliel,
Thanks for posting a detailed description of your concern and I'm sorry to hear about your experience with your Nest thermostat. A few questions — have you checked on your filters and made sure that they're free of any clogs as well? When was the last time that your system was checked by a service technician? Also, have you tried checking on your HVAC fuse recently? I suggest to try the steps on this link: https://bit.ly/2L0HJ6M
Keep me posted.

I do not have filters and the Nest has been replaced with a Honeywell. Less sexy, but at least reliable.
After 4 Nests failed for us - we are done. Thank you, but I can’t spend 3 hours per day figuring out how to make the thermostat work, rummaging in forums.
