Navien Combi Boiler and Nest

Recently had Navien combi boiler installed.  Also upgraded to Nest Learnintthermostat.  Recent issue is Navien system will turn off and fail to respond to thermostat call for heat.  Navien stated that its due to thermostat which needs its own transformer.  Anyone else have this issue?  Will a battery operated model help.  Thermostat is connected with common wire  Any thoughts appreciated.

• Could you please share with us a photo of your thermostat's wiring? Your previous and current thermostats.
• What type of furnace do you have? (gas, electric, etc.)
• When was the last time you changed the furnace's air filter?
• Please check its power readings in its Technical Info settings.
