Nest Thermostat, compatibility with r-rc jumper

Hello

I have an AC unit, it is only AC no heating. I have 2 identical units, on the first and second level. On the bottom level I have a Nest Learning thermostat with no issues, but on the second level I decided to buy a Nest thermostat since its cheaper and will not be used as often. But when installing and setting up the wires in the app it comes up as incompatible. Still i conected everything in the R Y and G, and it appears to work, but I'm worried it may damage the compressor or something else.

Does anyone now if the app is wrong or it really is incompatible?

Attached my old thermostat

If you set up the thermostat with R, C, Y it would be incompatible.  Remember the less expensive Nest thermostat only works with Google Home and will not work with the Nest App.

Since you do not have AC wire, the nest, second generation, and third generation learning thermostat, can’t find enough power going down the W or the Y wire and reaching the common side of an electrical contactor coil. By chance, do you have any wires not being used as part of the thermostat cable?

On the wall there is no other cables, I will ask to check on the unit itself

The cable that your thermostat is using is actually a telephone cable. If you notice there are two different colors, you see there’s one it’s blue with white stripes, and then there’s a white one with blue stripes. There’s also an orange with white stripes, and then there’s a white one with orange stripes. so your blue cable is currently a blue cable with white stripes and there Hass to be a white cable with blue stripes inside the cable. Perhaps they cut it off. If you can find that one, we can make it the common wire.
