Neat thermostat concern

Hi,

 

I'm trying to convert the heating in my house to smart heating system. I was looking to buy the nest thermostat, i tried calling the nest pro's for installing it, they suggested not to buy them as the heat link causing lots of issues and the support is also not great. Instead they all are suggesting me to buy the hive ones. 

 

So i wanted to know, what are the likely issues and are the support available once i buy them.

Now I'm confused between nest and hive, i spoke with couple of nest pro's in my area and both of them suggested to go with hive.

Like any electronic equipment, unexpected behaviour can occur at any time within or outside the warranty period. Of course we want our devices to last as long as possible but if anything happens, me and my colleagues are more than happy to assist in any way we can.

We have phone, chat, email, social media and the community forum here where you can ask for assistance. Just make sure that if you are in a different region, the link is for the UK page, you change it at the bottom of the page as depending on region the contact options may vary.  

Thank you @AlexD. unfortunately I'm not getting any nest pro's in my area to fit it for me. Called couple of them and they both fitted nest thermostat for almost 5 years and now they don't do it as there are lots of issues with it.

Thank you for the feedback. I am sorry to hear that they were not able to assist. Should you wish you can also call on your preferred local installation technician. We have an installation guide here and they can reach out to us while installing it if they need any assistance. Any of my colleagues will be happy to try and assist with the installation.

Hi @AlexD , just wanted to thank you. I ordered the nest learning thermostat, let's see if I can get anyone to fit that. Looking forward to a smart heating system. After all, I didn't want to go to another provider just for heating systems keeping google smart devices for all products. 

Thank you for the encouragement, hopefully, I don't get the heat link issue.
