Hi DylanEdward,

Thanks for reaching out to us. You have two options: to buy two Nest Thermostats to install in your living room and in your bedroom, or to install one Nest Thermostat either in one of the room and install a Nest Temperature Sensor instead in the other room. You may use our Compatibility Checker to determine if a Nest Thermostat is compatible with your heating and cooling system, or send us a photo of your current thermostat wiring configuration so we can take a closer look and recommend the compatible Nest Thermostat for your system.

Nest Temperature Sensor is a smart home accessory designed to work with compatible Nest Thermostats to provide additional temperature readings and help balance temperatures in different areas. It helps track room temperature and provides actual statistics in a given time frame. The sensor communicates wirelessly with the Nest Thermostat, enabling precise heating and cooling distribution. It can be linked to schedules and automated functions, allowing users to configure preferred heating temperatures in different zones, reducing energy use. You may learn more here in the Nest Temperature Sensor article.

Keep us posted. We're happy to help.

Best,

Zoe
