Need to place Thermostat upstairs but boiler and heat control are too far away for a wifi connection

If the Thermostat is to be situated too far from the heatlink for the Wi-Fi to link, is it possible to join them by a wired connect?

Would this allow them to communicate or does the wire just charge the Thermostat?

Thank you

Hi there and thanks for reaching our community. In order to address your inquiry properly, I'll need to mention that the connection between the Heat Link and the display is not established via Wi-Fi, but via a special, separate connection called Weave, which may encounter greater interference if the distance is big. However, you can choose to hardwire the two components via T1-T2 cables and that will provide a stable connection to the Heat Link.

Hi there, just checking in with you. Did you manage to check our last message?

Yes thank you, very helpful.  I will try to run a cable between the heat sync and the thermostat.
