I have Nest 2020 thermostat. The original thermostat is installed on the metal electric box, so cut out is about 3"×3" with the only 2 screw holes on sides (3.25" distance between). The backplate come with thermostat adds well as other type by Google and other after market from Amazon come with vertical mounting holes which is not work due to bigger opening in the wall. So is there any plate available which can mount directly on that metal box?
